About this project

A full-stack academic publishing platform for the Canadian AI Research Institute. Built with Node.js, EJS, and PostgreSQL, it manages the full journal lifecycle — submissions, peer review, editorial decisions, and publication. Integrates OpenAI for AI-assisted literature review, manuscript summarization, plagiarism/AI-content detection, and reviewer recommendations. Also features AWS S3 file storage, Asana project sync, real-time security monitoring, a Kanban editorial board, and a multi-role permission system spanning authors, reviewers, editors, and admins.
